Small, quiet avant-garde country; these people are not Germans, and it is not only inaccurate but very bad manners to confuse the two. But you’ll notice anyway if you spend some time there (businessmen still run around in green Tyrolian jackets and felt hats). I’ve “done” Vienna and Salzburg, and driven around between the two.
